The purpose of the Washington County Human Service System Analysis Project was to broadly examine human services in Washington County. It was an assessment of the human service system intended to identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities. Information was obtained directly from those involved in the human service system – providers and consumers of services – and from a review of human service practices and resources.
 
The project produced information that will shape the future direction of the human service system in Washington County. It provides the foundation upon which to build a more effective and efficient system of services for all residents of Washington County.
